Situated on the sheep farm where the Hobbiton Movie Set is located, The Shires Rest is a renovated woolshed with fantastic Hobbit-themed murals plus interesting farming and Hobbiton memorabilia.Established in 2003 and officially opened in December 2004, The Shire’s Rest has three entertainment rooms, quality hobbit styled rest room amenities, catering and bar facilities.

Catering is prepared by professional caterers and we are fully licensed. We have set menu's but we can also design menus to suit your specific needs, whether it is ’finger food’ or sit down meals with several courses. And with various room sizes, we can cater for groups of any size.
