The Bar
Step inside the bar at The Green Dragon and you are immediately transported to Middle-earth. The inn is an exact reproduction of that which featured in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
Served in the bar are especially brewed ales, cider and non alcoholic ginger beer.
Girdley Fine Grain
Amber Ale
- Colour: Light Brown
- Smell: Caramel, tangelo, herbal
- Taste: Light, malty, sweet
Brewed with a classic English bitter in mind. This beer is about rich, caramel malts and spicy, marmeladey British hops.
ABV: 3.8%
Oakbarton Brew
Traditional English Ale
- Colour: Orangey brown
- Smell: Malty, caramel, nutty
- Taste: Molasses, raisin, moreish
Served slightly warmer and with less carbonation than a typical Kiwi brew this drop is intended to emulate the beer styles of Olde England. Rich mouthfeel with strong malty tones. Very sessionable.

Sackville Cider
Apple Cider
- Colour: Golden delicious yellow
- Smell: Vinous, Granny Smith apple
- Taste: Tart, sweet, refreshing
A good cider should balance fruity succulence with subtle tartness. We reckon we’ve hit this one on the nose. Bursting on the palate with white-wine sweetness, the finish is crisp, dry and refreshing. Lip smackingly drinkable.

- Smell: spicy ginger, zesty, sweet
- Taste: sweet, tart, crisp
Spicy ginger perfectly balanced with sweetness and tartness. Will satisfyingly quench any thirst after a hard day in the field.
