How does the app work?

The App delivers content to your phone in real time as you journey around the Movie Set with your tour guide. Push notifications are activated by GPS coordinates, so as your guide stops at specific locations on the tour to share stories, these same stories are available to you in written form in your language of choice.
What languages is the app available in?

The app is currently available in Arabic, Bahasa, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian and English.
I’ve downloaded the app already but can’t access any content?

The Hobbiton Tour Companion App is designed only to be used when you are on site experiencing a guided tour experience. The content is GPS activated meaning that information will only be available as you journey through the guided tour experience.
Do I need to have an internet connection whilst on tour for the app to work?

No internet connection is required whilst on tour for the content to display.
