The Middle-earth Halfling Marathon takes participants on a journey through sites and scenes from the epic trilogies including some more secluded locations only ventured to by wizards and Halflings within the rolling hills of the mighty Waikato farmland. Participants will roam through the picturesque village of Hobbiton, through Gandalf’s Cutting, past the Sackville™ Orchard and up to Bag End before weaving down to Bagshot Row™ and past the sparkling lakefront. If time allows, stop for a brief refreshment at The Green Dragon™ Inn before the final leg of the adventure to the finish line across from The Shire’s Rest™.

Please note: All entry fees are shown in New Zealand dollars and include all fees and taxes. Late entries will be accepted in person at registration, unless sold out prior.

Halfling Event Village

The Halfling Event Village will open at 11am on event day at The Shire’s Rest and will be open throughout the duration of the event for Halflings and their fellowship to enjoy.

Start Times

Halfling Marathon Run: 2.10pm 
Halfling Marathon Walk: 2.20pm

Eleventy-first Run: 3.10pm 
Eleventy-first Walk: 3.20pm

The start and finish lines are located across the road from The Shire's Rest, 501 Buckland Road, Hinuera

Prizegiving

Prizegiving will be held at 6pm in the Halfling Event Village
