In February and March this year, we increased our cleaning and sanitisation practices and will continue to do so when we re-open for as long it is needed. These include permanent installation of hand sanitiser units in all of our buses and vehicles and an increased cleaning schedule of all public and staff facilities/equipment. Our team will not have physical contact with our visitors while on tour, this includes shaking hands, high fives and any handling of visitor's personal belongings (e.g cameras, phones) during tours. We can offer contactless payment options within our Ticketing, Café and Shop.
We will be collecting information from all of our visitors for contact tracing purposes. This information will only be retrieved for contact tracing needs if required, and will not be shared or stored for marketing purposes.
Hobbiton Movie Set reserves the right to adapt the tour experience and/or split parties of more than 10 people on to separate departures to ensure physical distancing is possible while travelling to and from the Movie Set, as well as reducing the number of tours on the Movie Set at a time.
To protect the health and safety of our staff and customers, Hobbiton staff reserve the right to deny entry to our venues and tour experiences to any persons and groups exhibiting any potential COVID-19 symptoms (including but not exclusive to fever, cough and shortness of breath). If you or someone in your group are experiencing symptoms, please advise our staff immediately via phone or email before arriving onsite.
We will continue to review these practices and take advice from the New Zealand Government and industry.
