Hobbiton Movie Set is excited to support the next generation of local talent by offering three $1,000 scholarships to Matamata College students.
Open to Year 12 and 13 students, these scholarships will be awarded at Senior Prizegiving and are designed to help you pursue further study in fields closely connected to the world of Hobbiton.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be looking to pursue further study in tourism, agriculture/horticulture, event management, business management, or hospitality/culinary studies
- Must be currently enrolled at Matamata College

Application requirements:
- Upload a copy of your resume/CV
- Answer the following in less than 200 words:
- What are your career goals?
- What would you like to achieve in 5 years’ time?
- How did you become interested in you chosen field of study?
Shortlisted applicants will be notified within two weeks of the application closing date and invited to complete an interview with a Hobbiton Movie Set panel. The scholarship winners will be announced at Matamata College’s Senior Prizegiving.
