While it is very rare for snowfall over winter here in the Waikato in New Zealand, cooler mornings can bring crisp frosts to The Shire. Think of lush dewy grass and frosty eves overhanging The Green Dragon Inn. On the outskirts of the Movie Set fog often drifts over the hills adding a mystical feel to your adventure. Warming up in front of the hearths of Bagshot Row™ and the Green Dragon Inn are a must do do during this season.
