Peak Season Availability We are very heavily booked throughout December - February as it is our peak season. Our website displays live availability and any tickets from cancellations are released onto the website in real time. Our Reservations and Ticketing team on site have access to the same availability that is shown on our website. We recommend only arriving to The Shires Rest or your preferred departure location if you have a confirmed booking in place. We are often unable to accommodate walk-ins.
Do you offer a waitlist? We are not able to manage a waitlist due to the number of different tour experiences that we operate and the number of enquiries that we receive. Our friendly staff are available to assist you during business hours 7 days a week. Please note over Peak Season our response time is 72+ hours due to the large volume of enquiries we receive. We are closed Christmas Day.

Is it true that you are fully booked?

We are very heavily booked over the Summer months for all tour experiences. Our website displays our live availability and any last minute tickets from cancellations will show as available on our website in real time.
Do you offer a cancellation or waitlist?

As the Movie Set is located on private farmland, and to ensure all our guests have the complete experience, the only way to access Hobbiton Movie Set is with a fully guided tour. Our tours tend to book out so we recommend booking as far in advance as possible.
How do I amend or cancel my booking?

Amending a booking

Our reservations team have a 72 hour response time over the Summer months. If your travel plans change last minute, and you see availability on the website for your preferred date and time, we recommend that you book it as soon as possible and request a refund for your original booking. This can be the fastest way to ensure you get the tour, day and time that suits your itinerary and travel plans. If you're booking far in advance and you need to amend your booking, please contact us here and quote your reference number.

Cancelling a booking

If you wish to cancel a booking, please reply directly to your booking confirmation that was emailed to you when you made your booking or contact us and clearly state your booking reference number.

I have made a booking but haven't received a booking confirmation. What do I do?

When you make a booking with us online, our system will automatically send you a booking confirmation to the email address you entered. If you haven't received it, we recommend firstly checking your Junk Mail as they can sometimes default there (especially for Hotmail accounts). If you still cannot find the confirmation, please get in touch with our team and be sure to include your full name, email address, tour date and time and the booking reference if you have it.
